Early Years Ballet Education

First Flight helps dance schools create early years programs that are purposeful, engaging and built around their own identity.

THE CRAFT gives teachers the knowledge and practical tools to deliver confident, developmentally appropriate classes for dancers aged 2–8. Supportive for new and experienced teachers alike.

THE ARCHITECTURE helps studio owners build the structure around those classes, including progression, communication, parent experience, staff support and the pathway into junior training. You can work through the program independently, add expert support when you need it, or have us build it with you.

If you are a beginner or experienced teacher, we are here to support everyone!

Supporting teachers to develop and refine their teaching practice for preschool and early years dancers. Build your confidence, master age-appropriate engagement, and inspire young dancers in a fun, structured environment.

Ongoing access to support materials and a teacher 'toolkit' will be available for all participants.

For Studio Owners

The Architecture

Designing early childhood programs that sit seamlessly and support growth within your studio model. Create a deep sense of family belonging and retain lifelong students from their very first class.

Don't have time to do it all yourself? No problems, we are able to create it for you and help right through to implementation and ongoing support.

As experienced teachers, educators, studio owners, and directors, Maya Callaghan and Jenny Trafford created First Flight to bring real world clarity and guidance to your studio.

Studio ownership and early years teaching do not need to be isolating experiences. We share practical tools, proven frameworks, and direct mentorship.
